Joel Silverstein, Vice President, COO
Since 1988, Joel has completed over 6,400 dives. More than 3,000
have
been on shipwrecks all over the world. He has extensive experience with
un-teathered mixed-gas diving in the open ocean. At TDL he is
responsible for corporate decisions, product selection and placement, technical diver and instructor training, and
heads up our expedition diving division. Joel also handles the
critical aspects of the company's marketing and positioning within the
industry. With all he does he is always available to talk with you about
diving and gear. In an effort to give back to the community, Joel spends the early part of each day as a Biology Instructor at the local high school.
Capt. Kathy Weydig, President
Kathy
has more than 4,500 dives exploring some of our more notable
shipwrecks including the Andrea Doria, USS Wilkes Barre, an
Expedition Leader on USS Monitor projects and permit holder for the B-29
Bomber in Lake Mead. She is an active Instructor Trainer with SDI/TDI
and a founder of the Women Diver’s Hall of Fame.
She has been a scuba instructor since 1989 and holds a 100 ton USCG
Master captain’s license. She has served on the Board of Directors of
the Divers Alert Network
for more than ten years. Kathy handles training and public relations
integration at TDL and is always available to talk about community
involvement.
Jona Silverstein, Manager Information Technology
Growing
up in a dive family Jona breathed on scuba as early as three years old,
he was mixing gas by seven, and has been a certified SDI diver since
nine. He is actively involved in hiking, climbing, mountain biking,
boating, sailing, water-sports, and competitive shooting. Jona earned
the rank of Eagle Scout at fourteen and aspires to earn his degree in
computer hardware engineering. Jona heads up the internal and critical
aspects of the company's information technology, security, and database
management.
Captain John Fuller, B-29 Expedition Leader
Captain John has been with TDL since 2005. He is a lead
instructor for the company with SDI/TDI and is actively teaching divers.
His expertise is in running technical diving operations in the
Southwest and has been the lead Captain on the B-29 Bomber dives in Lake
Mead since 2006.
Tom Hansen,Intructor
Tom is an active SDI/TDI instructor he has been with STT/TDL
since 2015 and heads up our local recreational training and dive
charters. In addition Tom is our go-to guy for underwater salvage and
recovery. If it's lost underwater he finds it, if its in the way he
moves it. His passions are restoring antique cars and customization of
new vehicles.
Rob Neto, Side Mount Instructor.
Rob has
been a senior consultant with TDL since 2006. He was instrumental in the
development of the TDL website and manages web coding and database
management. Rob is the nation's leading side mount cave instructor. He
served as the NACD Training Director and can usually be found wiggling
around inside Florida's and Cozumel's smallest cave passages. Rob is author of the Side Mount Diving Book sharing the inside techniques of this most versatile diving method. Based in Marianna Florida he also owns and operates Chipola Divers Jackson County's only full service cave diving center.
Nathan Adler, Social Media Coordinator
Nathan is a Social Media Specialist and Website Editor.An avid diver he loves to explore the rivers and lakes of the Southwest treasure hunting. An accomplished photographer and videographer he works with STT/TDL on developing and managing our social media presence. He has lived and worked in Lake
Havasu City his entire life. He also works for the Lake Havasu City
Convention and Visitors Bureau managing
their brand and visual storytelling on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and
other online platforms.
